Classic or Sports?
Seemingly a simple question, but what is the real difference between classic and sports socks?
Classic Socks
Smooth sock leg surface.
Short double welt at the top of the leg (normally between 3.5-4 cm, but we can make it shorter).
Perfect for everyday wear (our socks feature non-constricting welts and legs, making them comfortable even after all-day wear).

Sports socks
The surface of the upper is ribbed. This is the elasticated zone; in this area, the sock fits tighter to the leg, preventing it from slipping down. The pattern in this part of the sock appears slightly larger and less precise than on a classic sock, but it has its own unique character.
The double welt on the top of the upper is usually 1–1.5 cm, but we can modify it for you – for example, in cycling socks where it is approximately 3.5 cm long.
Ideal for active individuals and athletes. Increasingly chosen for everyday wear due to their distinct look that matches current outfits and urban fashion.

How to choose?
We know there are many options, and it can sometimes be hard to decide. Here are our recommendations.
Everyday Casual Socks with Logo
For this purpose, classic socks model 131 with a logo on the leg, or with a logo graphic across the entire sock, will work best.
Often, sports socks model 521 are also chosen, but without a welt on the foot – usually, the design is then limited to the leg, e.g., a logo or a brand graphic motif. Typically, the sock is also white or black.
When to add a foot welt?
Always when you want to reduce the sock twisting on the foot, and often for an aesthetic touch. The sock looks professional! And with us, the foot welt is FREE.
When to choose half-terry?
When you need more softness underfoot, greater insulation from the ground when walking barefoot, or if you’re doing sports and need to ‘tighten’ the fit in your shoe to prevent movement. In such cases, it’s good to combine it with ventilation mesh on top and an additional welt around the foot.
What socks for a starter pack?
Let’s be honest, if someone receives a starter pack before a marathon with socks inside, they won’t wear them for running or cycling – every athlete has their own tried and tested socks. But after the marathon, they’ll gladly change into fresh, fragrant socks. And incidentally, we can make fragrant socks… 🙂
Can you mix and add, for example, mesh or terry?
Yes, you can. We can practically do anything, from patterning with mesh and terry to advanced forms of plating with any colour and using specialised yarns, e.g., with silver ions, in appropriate places and quantities.
Technical Modifications
What can you change/add to a sock?
Half-terry / Terry
The bottom of the sock, the entire foot, or the entire sock can be made of terry. Terry can also be patterned and combined with other solutions, such as ventilation or an additional welt. We make terry as standard with a double 'thread'; if you want it thinner, just ask..
Ventilation / Mesh
There can be mesh, for example, on the top of the foot, or air channels from the sole of the foot up to the tip of the leg, or any shape of mesh according to your design.
Additional Welt
On the foot, instep, or of an unusual width – just tell us how you want it to look, and we'll make it. We can also create it in various appearances, from smoother 1:1, through 1x1, 3x1, mixed, and patterned without using yarn. A plain white sock with a white pattern on the welt looks super.
Extensions
+5cm to the leg is no problem. A 1cm longer 1x1 welt is fine. An unusual welt, e.g., 3x1 combined with 2x2, a longer plain section on the instep – practically anything you can think of, we can do. Describe what you want, and we'll check the possibilities and provide an offer.
Grading
If you want a part of the sock to be tighter or, for example, looser on the calf, we can grade it according to your specifications.
Double Thickness
We can produce very thick socks without terry, using double yarns or specially twisted ones.
Terry Patterning and on it
We can create patterns with terry; this is highly recommended for professional trekking or ski socks to create a reinforced, thicker zone where boot pressure is greatest or to ensure adequate space between the boot and foot for moisture wicking. In addition to the extra layer of terry loops, they can be given a different colour than the rest of the sock, and patterned on that part of the sock.
Sock Sole in a Different Colour
A sock sole in a different colour is more of a design feature and results from the pattern rather than a technological modification. However, it can often create the illusion that the sock is a sports half-terry, when in reality, it only has a light grey sole, with the rest of the sock being white.
Raised Elements
We can add protruding elements to the upper welt that, for example, protect the Achilles tendon. Combining this protruding sock element with an appropriate pattern on the sock can serve as a visual feature, such as cat or owl ears.
Embossed Patterns
Using appropriate methods, we can make the surface structure of the sock convex.
Reinforced Heel and Toes
The heel and toes can be reinforced to prevent them from wearing out quickly. But this is standard for us, so you don't need to ask for it like with other manufacturers.
Y-heel
Sometimes it is required for a sock to be made precisely for one size, practically without tolerance. In such cases, the Y-heel is the element that makes the sock fit perfectly on the foot and harder to remove. This type of heel can be made in exclusive dress socks as well as professional running socks; the flat appearance of the sock is different, and the sock fits even better on the foot.

You don’t need to be an expert! We are the specialists. Therefore, to simplify things, we have listed the most frequently chosen socks below. If you need unusual socks, just tell us your expectations, and we will do everything to meet them.
